ACCOUNTING OFFICERS(CPA) - SM MEGAMALL, SM PASIG, SM MAKATI

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for supervising the accounting operations in the assigned location/branch/section

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for assisting the Accounting Manager in the over-all supervision of personnel assigned in his department/section.

a. Orients new employees on the job duties and department/section procedures
b. Assist in counseling and motivating employees in order to maintain high morale and discipline
c. Trains employees on the job and recommends appropriate training for existing/potential subordinates.
d. Evaluates performance of subordinates
e. Makes suggestions on the manpower requirements of his section
f. Prepares re-shuffling or sliding of personnel in his section
g. Prepares personnel schedule in consonance with the guidelines of operations
h. Checks attendance of subordinates and prepare violation reports whenever necessary
i. Ensures compliance to policies and procedures on proper work uniforms
j. Maintains open communication lines to foster positive attitude towards company goals

2. Checks all required reports submitted by subordinates relative to sales, payables, inventory and general accounting

3. Prepares the following reports

a. sales reports for rental purposes
b. monthly status report
c. financial statements

4. Process billing statements for tenants and other branches

5. Checks reports coming from the following departments

a. Treasury
b. FAS
c. Warehouse
d. Selling

6. Accomplishes the accounting portion of the Accountability Clearance Release Form (ACRF)

7. Maintains an orderly and systematic work area: ensures proper storage and cleanliness as preventive measures against fire or other accidents

8. Assist in the implementation of safety and security control measures in consonance with corporate security standards which include:

a. safety of employees, customers, visitors, etc.
b. security against merchandise, financial loss and pilferage
c. fire prevention for the building

9. Assists the Accounting Manager in the performance of admistrative functions

a. Monitors supplies consumption of the department/section
b. Ensures proper housekeeping, maintenance and use of facilities/equpiment in the department/ section
c. Prepares necessary paperworks related to employee incentives schemes and other reports, likewise responsible for its safekeeping

10. Supports Management decisions, requirements and expectations

11. Performs other related functions that may be assigned by the Accounting Manager from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Accounting graduate; 1 year supervisory experience or 2 years significant experience in all aspects of accounting works; 23 - 30 years old, male or female; CPA, specialization in either general accounting, receivables, payables, payroll, inventory or sales audit

- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

- Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employees specializing in Finance - General/Cost Accounting or equivalent. Job role in Basic Accounting/Bookkeeping/Accounts Executive or Financial & Reporting Accounting.

My sister came home for a vacation last year and is a SM fanatic. She came home and bought so much items and that when she returned a Filipiniana dress the Kultura with the help of the Accounting office said the Moiney would be put back on her credit card in 3 Months time. Upto now the amount has not been credited and whenever i ask if the amount has been credited the Person from Kultura North Edsa would say the Accounting office is busy. That was the icing on the cake and we from then got the same anwer and when they said they would get back to us but upto now after a year nothing has been done to resolve the case Please help me please email me at leoubaldo@ yahoo.com .
